Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of Company Sheet. Please read them carefully.
Last Updated: July 17, 2026
1. Who We Are; Definitions
“Company Sheet,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operators of the Company Sheet website and related applications. “You” means any person or entity that accesses or uses the Service. “Content” means all data, text, charts, metrics, filings, tables, screenshots, exports, interfaces, software, and other materials available through the Service, whether created by us, generated from public sources, or embedded from third parties.
Company Sheet is an informational equity research and company data platform focused primarily on U.S. public-company information derived from public sources such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) EDGAR system, plus optional third-party charting embeds (including TradingView free widgets).
2. Eligibility and Accounts
2.1 Age and capacity
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have legal capacity to enter a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2.2 Registration
Some features (for example watchlists, saved sheets, or authenticated exports) require an account. We may use third-party authentication providers (such as Google OAuth via our auth vendor). You must provide accurate information and keep credentials and linked accounts secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2.3 Account termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, legal risk, non-payment (if applicable), or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute terms) survive termination.
3. Nature of the Service — Not Advice, Not a Broker
You alone are responsible for investment and other decisions and for verifying all material facts against official sources (including SEC filings, company IR pages, and your own advisers) before acting.
4. Data Sources, Accuracy, and Third-Party Content
4.1 Public and third-party data
Content may be derived from or reference: (a) SEC EDGAR and related public filings and APIs; (b) other public company disclosures; (c) metrics we calculate from those sources; and (d) third-party services, including official TradingView free chart widgets for market price visualization. Market prices and related market data shown via TradingView are provided by TradingView (and its data vendors) under TradingView’s terms; we do not rehost or store that market data as our own proprietary market feed.
4.2 No warranty of accuracy or completeness
We strive to present information carefully, but we do not guarantee that any Content is accurate, complete, current, continuous, or suitable for any purpose. Filings may be amended or restated; tags and periods may be inconsistent; calculated ratios may be wrong; delays, outages, and parsing errors occur. Always verify critical figures with primary sources.
4.3 Third-party sites and embeds
The Service may link to or embed third-party websites, widgets, or APIs (including TradingView and authentication providers). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their policies. TradingView branding and attribution must remain as designed for free widgets; you may not strip, obscure, or reverse-engineer those embeds.
4.4 SEC and government materials
SEC and other government materials may be subject to their own terms of use and fair-use expectations. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the SEC, FINRA, any exchange, or any issuer unless expressly stated.
5. License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business informational use. No other rights are granted. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
6. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, market manipulation, fraud, or in violation of securities, export, sanctions, or privacy laws.
- Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, harvest, or systematically extract Content or data in a way that overloads our systems, violates third-party terms (including SEC fair-access / rate limits where applicable), or creates a competing data product without our prior written consent.
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially re-publish our curated datasets, calculated metrics, or UI as a standalone data feed or product without permission (personal/internal use and ordinary citations with attribution are fine).
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security, rate limits, authentication, or access controls, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, inject malware, probe vulnerabilities without authorization, or use automated means that degrade performance.
- Impersonate others, misrepresent affiliation, or misuse another person’s account.
- Remove or alter proprietary notices, trademarks, or required third-party attribution (including TradingView copyrights on free widgets).
- Use the Service to provide regulated investment advice or brokerage services to others unless you are properly licensed and comply with all applicable laws (and even then, you remain solely responsible for compliance).
7. User Content and Feedback
If you create watchlists, sheets, notes, or other user-generated material (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and back up User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights to provide User Content and that it does not violate law or third- party rights.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks (including “Company Sheet”), compilation of public data, calculated series, and original text, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party marks (including TradingView, Google, SEC, and issuer logos/names) belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification or as permitted by law / the third party’s terms.
Except for the limited license above, nothing grants you any right to use our trademarks or brand assets.
9. Exports, Downloads, and Your Verification Duty
Features that export spreadsheets, filings extracts, or other files are provided “as is.” You must verify exported numbers before using them for tax, regulatory, investment, lending, or reporting purposes. We are not liable for decisions made from exports or screenshots.
10. Service Changes; Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, dependency outages (cloud, database, SEC, TradingView, auth providers), and force majeure events may interrupt access.
11. Fees (If Any)
Core access may be free. If we introduce paid plans, additional terms will apply at purchase. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged.
12. Disclaimers of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY SHEET AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY; TRADING LOSSES; OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company Sheet and its owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (d) your investment or other decisions; or (e) your misuse of third-party data or embeds.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
16. DMCA / Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with: (i) identification of the work; (ii) identification of the material and its location; (iii) your contact information; (iv) a statement of good-faith belief; (v) a statement under penalty of perjury of accuracy and authority; and (vi) your physical or electronic signature. Contact: [email protected]. We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
17. Governing Law; Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing [email protected] with a brief description of the dispute and your contact information. If not resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue remedies in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except where prohibited by law. WHERE PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for IP or unauthorized access claims.
Note: If your operating entity is organized in a different jurisdiction, replace the governing-law and venue clauses with your counsel’s preferred language.
18. Export Controls and Sanctions
You may not use the Service if you are located in a sanctioned jurisdiction or are a denied or restricted party under U.S. or other applicable sanctions laws.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the Service or via notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
- Waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No third-party beneficiaries except as expressly stated for indemnified parties.
- Headings are for convenience only.
